Mr Hobby - Mr. Clear Color GX

Mr. Hobby Mr. Clear Color GX is a premium range of lacquer-based clear paints designed to deliver rich, transparent colour and exceptional depth to scale models, Gunpla and custom painting projects. Part of the renowned Mr. Color GX series by GSI Creos, these paints offer vibrant translucent finishes that allow underlying colours, metallic surfaces and fine details to remain visible.

Unlike traditional opaque paints, Mr. Clear Color GX creates transparent layers of colour that can be built up gradually to achieve different levels of intensity. Apply a light coat for a subtle tint or build multiple thin layers for a deeper, more saturated finish. This flexibility makes the range particularly useful for creating custom metallic colours, tinted armour, transparent components and realistic lighting effects.

When applied over metallic base coats such as silver or chrome, these clear paints produce striking candy-colour finishes with impressive depth and brilliance. They are also ideal for enhancing clear plastic parts, creating coloured lenses, adding depth to mechanical details and experimenting with unique colour combinations.

Formulated with Mr. Hobby's lacquer-based paint technology, the Mr. Clear Color GX range offers smooth application and excellent finishing potential. The paints can be thinned with compatible Mr. Color lacquer thinners for airbrush use, making them a versatile addition to any modeller's painting collection.
