Our First Gundam Gallery: A Celebration of Creativity, Community, and Gunpla
Share
Our very first Gundam Gallery at Principality of G was an incredible success, and we could not be more proud of everyone who took part. What began as a simple idea — to give builders a place to showcase their art — quickly became one of the most memorable events we have ever held.
We had over 18 participants, each bringing in a custom-built Gundam that reflected their creativity, skill, and individuality. Some were beautifully painted, some were intricately posed, and others pushed the boundaries of kitbashing and design. What they all shared, however, was heart. Seeing these creations come out of cupboards, off display shelves, and straight into the shop was truly special.
To honour the builders, we transformed our shop into a full gallery space. Each Gundam had its own display area with a printed tag and a QR code linking directly to the artist’s Instagram, making it easy for visitors to follow, support, and celebrate the builder community. The atmosphere was warm, supportive, and buzzing with excitement as people wandered through, admired each piece, and cast their votes.
Every participant also received a certificate of appreciation, and we awarded first, second, and third place prizes — including store credit, stickers, T-shirts, and other goodies. But the best part was seeing how proud everyone was to participate. Many builders told us it was the first time they had ever displayed their work publicly, and their joy made all the effort worthwhile.
We also conducted individual interviews with each builder, giving them a chance to talk about their inspiration, techniques, and the stories behind their builds. These interviews will be uploaded to our YouTube channel once editing is complete, so keep an eye out!
What made Gundam Gallery truly special was not just the incredible craftsmanship on display, but the strong sense of community it created. It brought people together — beginners, seasoned modelers, families, friends — all united by their love of Gunpla. It reminded us why we created Principality of G in the first place: to give people a place to share their passion, express their creativity, and be part of something welcoming and fun.
Thank you to everyone who participated, visited, voted, and supported our very first Gundam Gallery. We cannot wait to make this a regular event and continue showcasing the amazing talent in our community.
Here’s to many more galleries — and many more masterpieces.
